What is Great V-aap Shopper Programme?

Great V-aap is a cardless rewards programme that rewards shoppers with points when they make purchases at the participating malls’ outlets.The participating malls include:

  • Great World City
  • Tanglin Mall

These points are tracked by our Customer Loyalty Programme automatically when receipts are scanned / uploaded through our mobile app or any other channels as stipulated by us. The points accumulated in this programme can be used to exchange for shopping mall vouchers, carpark rebates or other rewards from time to time.

 

How do I become a Great V-aap member?

In order to be a member, you need to fulfil the following criteria:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Residing in Singapore
  • Have a valid Singapore-based mobile number

 

Is there an annual participating fee?

There is no annual fee. However, members are encouraged to have at least 12 transactions (minimum S$20 spent per receipt per transaction) in one calendar year. We reserve the right to review the participating fee.

 

How do I apply/register for the Great V-aap Rewards Programme?

Shoppers can simply sign up via any of the touchpoints:

  • Great V-aap mobile app (Available in the App store and Google play)
  • Information Counter at participating malls

 

Is Great V-aap membership for lifetime?

Yes, it is a one-time registration for lifetime.

 

How long does it take for my membership to be activated?

Upon successful completion of the application, members can immediately start scanning and uploading their receipts via Great V-aap mobile app to start earning points.

 

What information do I need for the membership registration?

The compulsory information needed would be your name, mobile number, Date of Birth, Gender, Postal Code as well as email address when you register via the mobile app or at the Information Counter at participating malls.

 

If I want to update my personal information, how do I go about doing it?

Members may log in to the Great V-aap mobile app or approach the Information Counters to update their personal information.

 

I forgot my Great V-aap’s account password, what should I do?

What are the benefits and privileges which I can enjoy as a member?

As a valued member, you get to enjoy instant rewards such as:

  • Earn points for purchases made.
  • Exchange for shopping mall vouchers, carpark rebates or other rewards from time to time using the points earned.
  • Earn double points for purchases made during birthday month.
  • Promotional points giveaway.

Points

How to earn points?

Earning points is an easy 3-step process:

  • Step 1: Shop at any participating retailers at the malls.
  • Step 2: Take a photo of the receipt.
  • Step 3: Upload the photo through the Great V-aap mobile app or approach our Customer Service Assistants at the Information Counter.

 

What is the minimum spending for points to be earned?

You will need to make a minimum spending of S$20 in a single receipt to start enjoying the points accumulation. Receipts below the stated amount will be rejected.

 

How long does it take for the points to be credited?

Your points will be credited within 7 working days.

 

What are the redemption rewards?

The rewards include:

  • 200 points = $1 carpark rebate
  • 400 points = $2 carpark rebate
  • 600 points = $3 carpark rebate
  • 1,000 points = $5 gift voucher

 

How many receipts can I scan in a day?

You can scan as many receipts in a day as long as they are receipts from purchases made by you and the total number of receipts from the same outlet does not exceed 3.

 

Where must the receipt of purchase be submitted?

Receipt images should be submitted using the mobile app. You can also choose to present your receipts at the Information Counter, but they must be issued from the same mall where the Information Counter is located.

 

Can I use receipts made before the day I join the rewards programme?

No, receipts used must be from the day you joined the rewards programme.

 

Must I upload the receipts on the same day of purchase?

All receipts must be uploaded no later than the next day of purchase. E.g. if the receipt is dated 1 January 2017, the receipt must be uploaded no later than 2 January 2017, 11.59pm.

 

What is the point awarding system like?

Every S$1 spent in a single transaction earns 1 point. However, for supermarket receipts, every S$2 spent earns 1 point. The award system may change from time to time.

 

Is there an expiry date for the points accumulated?

All points earned in a calendar year will expire on 30 June the following year. As Great V-aap rewards programme is launched on 20 September 2017, all points earned from 20 September 2017 to 31 December 2018 will expire on 30 June 2019. We may from time to time, amend the validity period of the points and the points not redeemed by the expiry date shall automatically expire.

 

Is there a limit to the points we can accumulate within a day?

Members can earn up to a maximum of 1,000 points per day, which is also applicable to birthday month.

 

If my receipt is too long to be captured clearly, what should I do?

For long receipts, you may fold it at portion describing the products purchase and scan it. Please ensure these crucial information are seen:

  • Mall Name, Shop Name and Unit Number
  • Transaction date and time
  • Receipt, transaction or tax invoice numbers
  • Total purchase amount

 

If I have receipts that are given to me, can I use it to earn the points?

Points can only be awarded for your own purchases. If any shopper is found using receipts other than their own purchases to accumulate points, Great V-aap reserves the right to terminate their membership.

 

What receipts are not accepted for Great V-aap points earning?

  • Money changer
  • NETS / Credit / Debit Cards transaction slips
  • Pushcarts/Kiosks/Pop-Up Units
  • Temporary vendors at promotional spaces i.eAtrium
  • AXS / SAM payments
  • Cashcard / Stored Value Cards Top-Up transactions, e.g. Food Junction Top-Up card, Singapore Pool Top-Up card, etc
  • Bill payments
  • Lottery tickets
  • Purchase of vouchers (Shopping Mall vouchers / Tenants’ vouchers)
  • Hotel receipts

 

Why are my points not awarded according to the gross amount?

For every dollar spent, you will be entitled to points rounded down to the nearest dollar. Points are awarded based on the nett purchase value after deduction of discounts at all participating retailers.

 

What should I do if I have problems capturing the receipts?

If there are difficulties capturing the receipts, you may approach the Customer Service Assistants at the participating malls. Information Counters are located at Level 2.

 

Why does the system decline my receipts?

Declination of receipts usually happens when receipts scanned:

  • are not from the list of participating malls
  • are not accepted in the programme
  • do not have the Mall Name, Shop Name or Unit Number
  • have conflicting information on the Mall Name, Shop Name or Unit Number
  • do not have transaction date or time
  • do not have receipt or transaction numbers
  • do not state the total purchase amount
  • do not meet the min purchase of $20
  • are incomplete or cut off

 

The shop do not issue printed receipts, can I use the handwritten receipts to earn points?

You can earn points for handwritten receipts, as long as it is written clearly containing these information:

  • Mall Name, Shop Name and Unit Number
  • Transaction date and time
  • Receipt, transaction or tax invoice numbers
  • Total purchase amount

Please note that handwritten receipts will take at least 14 working days (Usual: 7 working days) to process.

 

Why can’t I have more than one receipt in one image?

Having more than one receipt in one image will result in missing or confusing information being captured by the system. The receipts will be declined or you may end up with wrong amount of points being issued for your spending.

Redemption

How do I check the number of points balance?

Shoppers can check their points balance by logging in to the Great V-aap mobile app or check in with our Customer Service Assistants at the Information Counter.

 

How do I redeem points for the rewards?

You can redeem your points for the rewards by presenting your Photo ID Card at the Information Counter. You can also use your points to redeem eVouchers via the Great V-aap mobile app only.

 

Great V-aap points can be used to redeem the following:

  • 200 points = $1 carpark rebate
  • 400 points = $2 carpark rebate
  • 600 points = $3 carpark rebate
  • 1,000 points = $5 gift voucher

 

Can I transfer my points to another member?

Transferring of points is not allowed between members. However, there are no restrictions in transferring redeemed gift vouchers to another recipient.

 

Can I combine the points earned in the previous year with the current year’s points earning for the purpose of redemption?

Points earned in the previous year are given an extension of 6 months to be utilized. Unexpired points can be used in conjunction with points earned in the current year to redeem shopping mall vouchers, carpark rebates or other rewards from time to time.

I encountered an error message (“Invalid” or “Not registered”) when registering or logging in my account using the Great V-aap mobile app, what should I do?

The error message appears due to various reasons as listed below:

  • The mobile number was entered wrongly.
  • Incorrect password.
  • There could be limited / intermittent network connectivity when accessing through the application.

Is my mobile phone supported?

Our Mobile Apps are supported on the following platforms:

  • iPhone or iPad with iOS 8 or later
  • Android device with Android 4.4 or later

 

Is the app available in all countries?

No, the app is available in Asia, USA and Australia only.

 

How do I get the Great V-aap mobile app for my phone?

Simply look for our name – Great V-aap in the App Store or in the Google Play store.

 

Do I have to buy the Great V-aap mobile app?

No. The Great V-aap mobile app is completely free to download and install.

 

How often is the Great V-aap mobile app being updated?

We will update it when there are new features being added within the app and bug fixes to be made.

 

Is Great V-aap a rewards app?

Great V-aap is a cardless rewards programme that rewards shoppers with points when they make purchases at participating malls’ outlets. These points are tracked by our customer loyalty programme automatically when receipts are scanned / uploaded through our touchpoints.

Points redemption for eVouchers

  • How do I go about redeeming my points for the eVouchers?

    You may redeem your points for eVouchers through the Great V-aap mobile app when you have sufficient points (1,000 points and above).

  • Can I redeem my points for the eVoucher through the website?

    Redemption of points is not available on the website at the moment. You can only redeem your points at the Information Counter with your NRIC/FIN and Great V-aap mobile app.

  • Can I send the eVoucher as a gift to someone else after my point’s redemptions?

    Transferring of redeemed eVouchers to another recipient is available.The recipient has to be a member.

  • How is Great V-aap storing my personal information?

    For more information, kindly refer to the Great V-aap website for the terms & conditions and privacy policy.

  • How many types of denomination(s) are available for the eVouchers?

    The denominations are $5, $10, $50.

  • Can I purchase the eVouchers from the Great V-aap mobile app?

    Purchasing of eVouchers is available via the Great V-aap mobile app.

  • Can I convert my physical voucher to eVoucher?

    No.The conversion of physical voucher to eVoucher is not available.

 

eVoucher Usage

  • How do I use the eVoucher when I am in the store?
    • Launch the Great V-aap mobile app.
    • Select the eVoucher from e-wallet and display the QR code to the shop assistant.
    • Shop assistant to offer the device for you to scan the QR code.
    • Terminal will indicate on the status of eVoucher redemption when it’s successful used.
  • Which are the stores that accept the eVouchers?

    You may refer to each mall’s shop directory for more information. www.greatworldcity.com.sg and www.tanglinmall.com.sg

  • Can I use multiple eVouchers at once?

    Yes, you can use multiple eVouchers in a single transaction.

  • My mobile screen has a crack; will the terminal be able to scan the eVoucher?

    It is not advisable to scan on a mobile device that has a cracked screen as the scanning may not be accurate.

  • Can I store remaining value of the utilised eVoucher in my e-wallet?

    No. eVouchers must be fully utilised when making payment as unused balance will not be refundable or stored in your e-wallet. You may refer to our T&Cs here: www.greatvaap.com.sg/terms.

 

eVouchers

  • How do I buy the eVouchers?

    First, download the Great V-aap mobile app and sign up as member. Then go to the eVouchers section and then tap on Buy eVouchers. You may also buy it via the Information Counters.

  • Can I convert my eVoucher to physical voucher?

    No. The conversion of physical voucher to eVoucher is not available.

  • What are the payment types accepted for eVoucher purchase?

    For online purchase via Great V-aap mobile app, you can use the following payment modes:

    • Visa
    • MasterCard
  • Do my eVouchers have an expiry date?

    Yes. The expiry dates of eVouchers are shown clearly in the e-wallet when you view your vouchers.

  • My eVouchers vanished from the e-wallet! What happened?

    When your eVouchers have been utilized at the retailers or have passed their expiry dates, they will not appear in the e-wallet anymore. You can view them under the ‘Activity’ tab for details. However, if you are sure that there are missing eVouchers that are still valid and not utilized yet, please email contact@greatvaap.com.sg for further assistance.

  • I have problems accessing my e-wallet, who can I contact?

Carpark Redemption

  • How to redeem points for the carpark rebate?
    • Launch the Great V-aap mobile app; ensure the correct IU no. is entered into the account.
    • Select the mall you wish to redeem the carpark rebate to be utilized.
    • Select the amount of carpark rebates to redeem.
    • Redeemed carpark rebates will be reflected in your mobile app.
    • Redeemed carpark rebates are valid till 11.59pm on the same day of redemption, i.e. cut-off time for redemption is 11.40pm daily. Unutilised carpark rebate will be forfeited upon expiry.
    • Redeem carpark rebates have to be at least 15mins prior to exiting.
    • Ensure sufficient cash in the cashcard for any balance payment.
  • Can I redeem my points for carpark rebates through the website?

    Redeeming of the carpark rebates is not available via the website at the moment. You can redeem the carpark rebate at the Information Counter or via the Great V-aap mobile app.
